Kaley Cuoco Just Introduced the Newest Member of Her Family, and the Baby’s Name Has Everyone Smiling
Kaley Cuoco has officially become a mom of two, and she chose the sweetest way to share the news.
On Wednesday, October 14, the Big Bang Theory star posted a carousel of intimate hospital photos on Instagram announcing that she and her fiance, actor Tom Pelphrey, had welcomed their second child together. The baby, a girl, was born on October 12, 2026.
“What a blessing,” Cuoco wrote alongside the photos, adding that there are no words to describe the feeling of becoming a mother for the second time.
Meet Philomena Carmine Bobby Pelphrey
The couple revealed their daughter’s full name in the announcement: Philomena Carmine Bobby Pelphrey.
It is a name with real meaning behind it. A source close to the couple told People magazine that both middle names were chosen to honor family members. Carmine is a nod to Cuoco’s father, while Bobby is a nod to Tom Pelphrey’s side of the family. The insider added that the couple loves classic, vintage names, which made Philomena the perfect choice for them.
Cuoco has already given her daughter a nickname: Philo.
Family Officially Complete
In her announcement, the 40-year-old actress declared that their family is now officially complete. The couple is already parents to 3-year-old daughter Matilda, who was born in March 2023.
One of the most adorable details from the announcement came through Cuoco’s Instagram Stories. She shared a photo of Matilda wearing a T-shirt that read “Big Sister” with the caption “Someone waiting at home for us.” Matilda is clearly thrilled about her new role.

Cuoco and Pelphrey, 44, confirmed their relationship in 2022 and announced their engagement on August 14, 2024. Speaking to People that same year, Cuoco revealed that a wedding is still on the horizon, though the couple had not started planning anything yet.
“Maybe another kid will have to come first,” she teased at the time. “We’re gonna go way out of order. That’s our plan.”
She was not kidding. Little Philomena arrived before any wedding plans were made.
Pelphrey, known for his roles in Ozark and Mank, gave a peek into their preparations at the 2026 Emmy Awards. He told E! News that they were switching rooms around the house and laughing at how different preparing for baby number two feels compared to the first time around.
