Still bleeding moments after the attack, Allen turned on his phone camera and told his fans exactly what had happened. “These two dudes hit me in the head and pointed a gun at me with a knife and then took off,” he said in the video. “They had masks on and took my watch. They took my watch. Dammit.”
His caption on the post carried the warning that is now spreading everywhere: “West Hollywood is not safe anymore.”
Allen said in the comments that he went to the hospital after the attack but vowed he would be okay. He added that he suspected he had a concussion, saying he is “def concussed.”
The actor also called out Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom over crime in the city, writing that he hopes the flock surveillance cameras officials believe will stop crime can actually find the people who attacked him.
