Sharon Osbourne Just Revealed the Botched Surgery That Left a Dent in Her Face, and Kelly’s Red Carpet Return Is the Twist Nobody Saw Coming
The Osbourne family has never known how to be quiet, and this week Sharon and Kelly proved it twice over in the space of 48 hours.
First came the podcast. Then came the red carpet. And together they tell the story of a famous family that is done pretending everything is fine.
“I Have When I’ve Woken Up and Seen the Mistakes”
On Thursday’s episode of The Osbournes podcast, Jack Osbourne asked his 74-year-old mother whether she had ever felt scared going into a cosmetic procedure. Sharon’s answer was pure Sharon.
“I have when I’ve woken up and seen the mistakes,” she said.
What followed was one of the most brutally honest plastic surgery stories ever told by a celebrity. Sharon recalled a procedure that left an indentation in her face. One time, she said, the bruising was black and ran from her upper lip down to her chin. The dent never went away.
Her theory about what went wrong is genuinely wild. She believes the surgeon left a junior colleague to finish the procedure while he stepped out to take a phone call. When she went back to complain and asked what had been injected into her face, she says the surgeon brushed it off and promised it would settle. It did not.
Jack and his wife Aree Gearhart, who were sitting with her during the recording, both insisted they could not see any dent. Sharon was not buying it.
She called the recovery brutal and talked about the trap of cosmetic surgery: a face that looks 50 attached to a body her age. She admitted she never shows her arms because the skin is wrinkled and marked, then asked the question the whole industry avoids: “You’ve got a face that looks 50, and your body looks your age. It’s like, what about the rest of you?”
Then came the moment that stopped everyone cold. Asked whether she was done having work done on her face, Sharon said: “Oh Jack. Who am I doing it for now?” It was a clear reference to her late husband Ozzy, and the room felt it.
Sharon has been down this road before. In 2023 she swore off facelifts after a 2021 procedure went wrong, telling the Sunday Times she had looked like a Cyclops. She told the Sun she had pushed it too far and there would be no more. This week’s confession makes it clear the damage from those years is not fully behind her.
Kelly’s Comeback: 30 Pounds Heavier and Glowing
While her mother was making headlines with her honesty, Kelly Osbourne was making them with her glow.
The 41-year-old hit the red carpet at the amfAR London 2026 Gala at The Chancery Rosewood this week looking healthy and happy, a striking contrast to her gaunt appearance at the BRIT Awards back in February.

In a new interview with The Sun, Kelly revealed she has gained nearly 30 pounds since that night, and her reaction to the BRITs photos is something anyone who has ever hated a photograph of themselves will understand.
“I didn’t know that I looked like that until I saw the pictures,” she said. “When I saw them, I couldn’t believe it. I was as shocked as everyone else.”
Kelly was firm on one point: it was not an eating disorder. Grief and stress had simply wrecked her appetite. “I just couldn’t do anything for myself. Eating made me feel like I wanted to throw up,” she explained.
The turnaround came with help. Her mother recommended a therapist and a life coach, and Kelly also turned to something more spiritual. Still raw after losing her father Ozzy in July 2025, she visited his grave with a white candle and a wish.
“I know this sounds woo-woo, but I do candle magic a lot,” she told The Sun. She wrote “Please help me” on the candle and asked her dad to send her a message. The next day, she says, her mother arrived in a black Mercedes with a man in a mustard-colored jacket.
Her motivation was her 3-year-old son Sidney. Kelly said it felt like everything inside her was dead, and she refused to let her son watch her fade away. That is the kind of honesty that made the red carpet photos land the way they did.
One Family, Two Brutal Honesties
There is a reason the Osbournes became reality TV royalty in the first place. From their MTV days to this week’s podcast, they have always talked about the stuff other famous families hire publicists to bury.
Sharon’s surgery confession and Kelly’s health comeback are different stories, but they share a spine: two women refusing to perform wellness they do not feel, and refusing to let shame do the talking.

Thursday’s podcast episode shows The Osbournes format still works: a family talking, laughing, and telling the truth with no filter. Fans responded immediately, praising Sharon for saying out loud what the cosmetic surgery industry prefers to keep quiet.
Kelly, meanwhile, gets the last word in the best possible way. The woman who could not eat in February is glowing in October, candle magic and all. If her dad really did send a message, it seems to have arrived.
