Jason Segel, the How I Met Your Mother star who spent years making audiences cry happy tears on screen, tied the knot this weekend with dancer and actress Kayla Radomski. The couple confirmed the news in a series of photos shared to Radomski’s Instagram Story, and fans are already calling it one of the sweetest celebrity weddings of the year.
Saying “I Do” at The Huntington Library
The couple said “I do” at The Huntington Library Botanical Gardens in Pasadena, California, according to a photo of their wedding invitation posted by a friend. The venue choice was no accident: it is the exact same place where Segel proposed a year earlier, in the library’s famous rose garden.
Guests were asked to dress for the occasion, with the invitation describing the dress code as “coat and tie” and promising a night of “dinner and dancing.” Photos from the day show Radomski, 35, looking stunning in a white wedding gown decorated with pink painted flowers. Other photos captured her getting ready before the ceremony in a delicate lace veil and a white silk slipdress. Segel, 46, looked sharp in a classic dark tuxedo, and one photo showed the two staring lovingly into each other’s eyes with their arms wrapped around each other.
Hollywood has seen its share of dreamy ceremonies this year, from Simu Liu’s romantic France wedding to Jean Smart officiating a former co-star’s wedding, but a wedding in the same rose garden where you got engaged has to be the sweetest full circle moment of them all.
A Proposal Straight Out of a Romantic Comedy
If you have seen any of Jason Segel’s movies, you know the man understands a grand gesture. He proposed to Radomski at the Huntington Gardens, the same spot they had visited on an early date, and he kept the whole thing a secret. Segel told Radomski they were attending a “donor dinner” at the botanical gardens, then led her to a carpet of rose petals in front of a Greek statue. When she saw it, she reportedly assumed it was set up for someone else, telling him, “Aw, someone must have just gotten married here.”
He asked her to close her eyes and make a wish by what he called “the love statue.” While her eyes were closed, he got down on one knee. Then a string quartet began playing “Tale as Old as Time” from Beauty and the Beast, her favorite movie, and that is when the tears started flowing.
Segel later told Jimmy Kimmel that his goal for the proposal was simple: he wanted her to “cry real hard.” When a quartet version of her favorite song started playing, he said, “she lost it.” He also revealed that he designed the engagement ring himself, saying, “Kayla’s this amazing mix. She presents as a Disney princess, but she’s a total weirdo, and I wanted something that really captured who she was.”
The couple announced their engagement in June 2025 with an Instagram post captioned “FOREVER YES” with heart and ring emojis. The two had dated for two years before he proposed. Radomski, a So You Think You Can Dance alum, previously worked as a backup dancer for Taylor Swift. Segel, meanwhile, was previously in an eight-year relationship with photographer Alexis Mixter before they split in 2021.

Before the wedding, Segel told People that the wedding planning was “all going great” and gushed, “I’m with the best person in the world.” He also joked about the future, saying he was looking forward to having what he called “a real weird kid” someday.
